RGPXJ Jigging Rods

The new RGPXJ jigging rods from United Composites are an evolution of the original CXJ jigging rods. Initially designed for West Coast Bluefin Tuna jigging, these rods are proving their capabilities in many other fisheries.

Adding a carbon fiber layer in the layup schedule has made the rod stiffer and added additional lift. The carbon fiber layer and dual helix technology built into the blank give the rod tremendous torsional stability helping eliminate rod twist. Rod length has been increased to 6'4" very different from traditional short-style jigging rods.

Rod components include a Fuji palm-style jigging reel seat: Fuji LC high-frame SIC guides and DC spiral wrap. Spiral wrapping the rod and adding the carbon fiber outer layer eliminates rod twisting.

The rod tip features an S-glass construction. S glass is softer and offers the needed action when working a jig yo-yo, slow pitch, or speed jigging.

The additional material and the carbon fiber make the lift and power of the rod unprecedented in any jigging rod made.

This is the only jigging rod that can stand up to rail rod fishing.

Hypalon grips are used throughout the rod. Split rear grip.

The RGPXJ or J-Rex rods are the most unique and possibly strongest jigging rods ever made.
