Cortland's C12 Super Braid was designed for serious offshore anglers that require premium hollow core backing, at an affordable price. C12 is braided in our Cortland, New York, manufacturing facility from 12 individual gel-spun polyethylene fibers. C12 is the easiest splicing, longest lasting, 12 strand hollow core option on the market. C12 was designed to minimize diameter for maximum capacity, while exceeding competitors break strength across the board. C12 features proprietary FiberTech super braid protection, a unique treatment (not a coating) which penetrates the weave and bonds with the individual gel-spun fibers to stiffen and improve the handling characteristics of the line. ColorLast technology provides the longest lasting color, which resists fading and bleeding.
C12 is braided with Cortland's spliceable hollow core construction for fast and reliable splicing of end-loops for wind-on leaders or direct splicing of end-loops for wind-on leaders or direct splices for top shots of Monofilament or Fluorocarbon.
